President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono when giving a briefing on the military and police leadership meeting at the Ocean Hall of Indonesia, Jakarta, Friday (21/01/2011), said the government is committed to watching the welfare of members of the military and police.
Government, the President said, is committed to increase salaries and remuneration of members of the military and police every year. This is done with the aim of encouraging members of the TNI and the Police over achievers and performers. Welfare of members of the TNI and the Police always been one of the government's attention.
"Even this year the 6th or 7th Pesiden salary has not increased," the president said at the front ranks of the TNI Headquarters and Police Headquarters.
The President delivered, an increase in salary and remuneration is not rhetoric, false promises, let alone lie. "Turn the compulsory housing savings. Hold a scheme for the soldier could get decent housing, in accordance with their respective capabilities. I realize that there are still problems about housing soldiers," the president said.
